Diatomaceous Earth (DE) for swimming pools provides the ultimate in water clarification for a pool or spa that truly sparkles. DE is the most efficient dirt removing filter aid available, removing particles down to 2 microns. A properly balanced pool, using DE filter aid, gives you the clarity and quality you're looking for, reducing the use of chemicals and disinfectants. DOSAGE: Filter Area D.E. # of 1 lb. coffee cans 10 sq. ft. 1 lb. 2 20 sq. ft. 2 lbs. 4 30 sq. ft. 3 lbs. 6 40 sq. ft. 4 lbs. 8 50 sq. ft. 5 lbs. 10 INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 1. PRECOAT - add DE after cleaning the filter 2. Make a slurry by adding ½ amt of filter aid to pail of water 3. Stir until all filter aid is dispersed and pour into skimmer 4. Repeat to get the full precoat amount on the filter septum (for small dosages you may be able to do all in one bucket) DO NOT USE WATER CLARIFIER WITH THIS PRODUCT
